Rose of Sharon

Rose of Sharon (Hibiscus syriacus) is a beautiful summer flowering shrub.  These plants do grow large as this plant is pruned to about 4′ tall and 4′ wide every winter.  There are truly thousands (or hundreds) of flowers on this plant every day over a period of several weeks.  Here is a picture of two types of Rose of Sharon that are currently in bloom in Georgetown, MA.
