Your patio will be a great gathering place for your family and friends. Your patio may include a firepit, ambient lighting, dining and kitchen areas around your house.
Artistic Landscapes of Rowley, MA provides paver and natural stone patios throughout the North Shore region of Massachusetts and the seacoast of New Hampshire. We listen to each clients’ goals before designing and recommending the size, shape and materials for your patio.
We believe a patio built on a permeable base will last longer and stay more level than one built on stonedust. Nearly every patio that we build has a base of ¾” crushed stone followed by a setting layer of 3/8” crushed stone. The pavers are secured with edge restraints and all joints are filled with polymeric sand. The polymeric sand minimizes the growth of weeds and maintenance required for your patio.
A patio can be designed and built to provide space for a small table and a couple of chairs (approximately 12’ x 12’) or elaborate with curves and space for multiple uses such as a dining area, a sitting area and a firepit area. Most patios we build are in the range of 15’ x 20’ up to 20’ x 35’.
All paver patios can be sealed to have a wet look or a clear look. Sealing further minimizes the amount of weeds that can grow in the joints. You can see the impact of sealing pavers by the front door at our office in Rowley whereas the rest of the walkway is not sealed.
