We listened to this family from Newburyport to understand what they wanted their driveway to look like and what their budget was for this project. After understanding their goals, we designed and installed a paver driveway with site specific enhancements. This is how the existing driveway looked on the day that we initially met.
Driveway Before Pavers[/caption]Because they received runoff from the street and their downspout, we enhanced the foundation beneath the pavers. We installed a drainage pipe that collected the water from the downspout and brought the water into a dry well that we built in the backyard. We did this because we believed that the pavers might move if the area by the downspout is absorbing the rainwater that is discharged from the downspout. We also installed a geotextile layer across the whole driveway to provide additional stabilization and structure to the pavers.
