Outdoor Kitchen in North Andover

Artistic Landscapes built an outdoor kitchen for a North Andover, MA family that is between their house and their pool. This family stated that they love bbq and smoked foods thus they requested a smoker be included in the design and they wanted an outdoor kitchen that will allow their young children to get their own drinks when they are outside enjoying the pool while also providing space for the adults to enjoy a beverage and watch a sporting game. After listening to their goals, Artistic Landscapes designed the counter space and cabinetry so that they would have two different seating areas (one raised counter provides 3 seats while the other raised counter allows for 5 seats). A contemporary finish was achieved on the outside of the cabinetry by finishing those walls with porcelain slabs. The inside section of the outdoor kitchen has a lot of stainless steel from the cabinetry door thus we finished those cabinets with a stone veneer. A freestanding, lockable liquor cabinet was designed and built by our friends at Breen Construction to address the client's goal of having some of their alcohol stored within their entertaining area. As you may know, nice alcohol benefits from large ice cubes so their bar includes an ice maker that makes 2" clear square ice cubes.

We designed their outdoor kitchen to include the Kalamazoo Smoker as it is the epitome of turn it on and come back in 8 or 12 hours when your food is cooked. The Kalamazoo smoker can be set to a specific temperature and the components monitor the temperature and allow for the damper to open/close as needed to keep the temperature. This family loves their smoker and eventhough they have tried to fill it up during some of their parties, the smoker has enough shelving that they always have room. We located the smoker at the end of the counter as this location minimizes the impact of the smoke on the people sitting at the counter.

Next to the smoker, Artistic Landscapes installed the Kalamazoo K42 built-in grill. This grill is amazing. We had a plumber bring the natural gas line directly into the grill so that the family no longer has to bring propane tanks to get refilled and they never runout of gas while grilling. This grill is larger than most people need on a daily basis but it works so great that it is worth having the extra space (plus they don't turn on all of the heating elements when they are grilling for just themselves).
