Pruning a Viburnum

We started some Spring pruning of plants that have not been pruned in many years, fruiting trees and to repair damage that occurred over the winter. This Viburnum is a very large shrub that is happy at its home in Georgetown. We were able to make some significant rejuvenation type pruning cuts and brought the shrub down from 11' tall to 5' tall in many areas. We left some stems at 11' so that the family will be able to see some of the beautiful Viburnum flowers in a few weeks. This is the before and after look of this one mature Viburnum.
